Terms of service

The rules of your booking: what happens if you show up, if you arrive late and if you don't come.

1. Booking and card guarantee

Booking is free. For tables of 6 people or more we ask for a card as a guarantee: an amount is held on it (pre-authorisation) when you book. It is not a payment and nothing is charged to you.

The amount held is the per-person rate for the service multiplied by the number of guests you entered, children included. We show it to you before asking for your card details.

Your booking is confirmed only when you receive our confirmation email. If you don't complete the card page, the table becomes available to other guests again.

2. If you show up

When you arrive at the restaurant the amount held is released: nothing is charged to you and it is not an advance on your bill. How long it takes to be available on your card again depends on your bank, usually a few working days.

3. If you don't show up

If you don't show up and haven't cancelled in time, the restaurant may charge a penalty of up to the amount held on your card. It covers the table left empty, which we could have given to other guests.

We always email you the outcome: amount released or penalty charged, with the exact figure.

4. If you arrive late

We hold your table for 15 minutes after the booked time. After that grace period the table may be given to other guests.

We will still welcome you, but you may have to wait for the first free table or be seated at a different table from the one planned. If you show up, even late, the amount held is released.

If you are so late that we can no longer serve you within the sitting, the booking may be treated as a no-show. Call us as soon as you know you will be late: whenever we can, we keep your table.

5. Cancellations and changes

You can cancel free of charge up to 6 hours before the booked time, using the link in your confirmation email. On cancellation the amount held is released immediately.

After that, a cancellation has to be agreed with the restaurant by phone: if you don't tell us, it counts as a no-show.

To change the date, the time or the number of people, get in touch: changes are subject to availability.

6. Number of guests and table time

Please come with the number of people stated in the booking. Extra guests can only be seated if there is room; if there are fewer of you, the table assigned may change.

The table is yours for about 120 minutes. During services with more than one sitting we may ask you to leave it at the agreed time.

7. Allergies and special requirements

Tell us about allergies, intolerances and accessibility needs when you book, not when you arrive: knowing in advance really helps us, because the kitchen can get organised, prepare alternatives and serve you without delays.

Our kitchen works with many ingredients, so we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination.

8. Opening hours, closures and unforeseen events

Opening hours may change with the season, public holidays or private events. If we ever have to cancel your booking because of an exceptional closure or force majeure, we will tell you as soon as possible and the amount held will be released in full.

The restaurant may refuse or stop service in the event of behaviour that puts the safety or the peace of other guests and of the staff at risk.

9. Personal data

The details you give us are used to manage your booking: how we handle them is explained in the privacy policy.
